Lessons Learned

I chose Brockton Makerspace for my capstone project because I am from Brockton Massachusetts and was involved with the Maker Faire who created Makerspace. I found this experience very beneficial and I learned new information through the process. Thankful for Pat Monteith for giving me the opportunity to work with her and providing the information for the project.

1. Stakeholders

At the beginning of the project, I didn’t know about the different type of stakeholders. I learned about that are two different kinds of stakeholders. External stakeholders have a major part in a company or organization and have more say in what goes on. Internal stakeholders have a lesser part of a company or organization, but still needs to inform about what goes on.

2. Cause and Effect

I learned how to look at the problems and figuring out what caused the problem. I broke the problem and into smaller parts and created a chart to break down. I was to able identify what cause what problem and how it affects the company or organization.

3. The Process

I learned the importance of planning for my project. I needed to figure out how my plan will work once it is put into the action. Also, I needed figure out how my plan will affect the stakeholders and what role they will play. I needed to figure out the problems that could happen somewhere down the road and the come out of the project.
